Okay, so we are getting close to the New Years and what better time than to start making some goals to get to that point where you want to be in your Life.

Many of us want to make more money , many of us want to spend more time with our loved ones, many of us want to shoot for that job promotion, many of us want to rekindle long lost relationships with past friends and lovers, and many of us just want to get into good shape and get lean and mean. :)

Now out of all those I think more people would say that the most popular one that everyone is striving for is the last one. And you know what I would have to agree with you.

Losing weight and staying healthy is something that most in our Society want. And with the New Year what better time to start this endeavour.

Let me start off by saying I think one of the worst ways to approach getting healthy and slim is to start a New Years crash diet. Low and behold we see literally thousands upon thousands of people doing this year after year. Getting on that liquid diet or herbal tea diet. And you know what happens most of the time with these crash dieters ?? They will lose 10 or 20 pounds in 4 weeks but then take a look where they are in 6 months. Usually, they have not only gained back the 10 or 20 lbs in that time but they have gained an additional 10lbs or so on top of that.

I have found this to be a continuing theme in the crash dieter’s experience.

Nope, the best way to get slim is to start inward and educate yourself on how to eat healthy and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

This involves subtle but important changes in your whole approach towards Life.
Like eating lean proteins and lean fats with vegetables and whole grains and snacking on items like low salted nuts, almonds,and fruits.

Along with this it is paramount that you develop a long term exercise regimen. If all you can do is Walk that is perfectly find. But do the activity on a weekly basis for many years to come. Thing long,long,loooooooong term !!!

Anyway, there is just no getting around these two important issues. I look forward to talking about them more in 2010 and sharing my experience with all you guys out there.
