Is Weight Lifting a Credible Way for Effective Weight Loss ??

Okay, I love to run and hike and swim. Cardio exercises have always been quite enjoyable to me.
But my true passion since I was about 13 yrs old is weight lifting. As I have said earlier I use the Total Gym each and every week. It is really so refreshing to get those muscles pumped etc…
Along with the Total Gym I also use dumbells to do Supersets…….this really gets the blood rushing and the muscles pumping.
One of the things people ask me regularly is, ‘does weight lifting help you lose weight ‘ ??
I tell them without hesitation, YES !! It really comes dowm to two different ways that it promotes weight loss. First of all, if you do circuit weight lifting this will give you a Cardio workout as it will get the heart pumping fast and your breathing will increase.
Along with that the general benefits of weight lifting will help you keep the fat off. How you ask ?? Well, once you start putting on lean muscle the actual muscles themselves burn fat in a more efficient manner. And when you are Resting your Muscles and Metabolism will keep your Body slim and tight.
It kind of self propels itself, once you get lean muscles that is.
People get the incorrect notion that if they start some form of weight lifting that it will cause Massive muscles and bulk them up too much. This is a fallacy as most people will NOT get bulky unless they do HEAVY lifting and drink and take Supplements along with it.
So a piece of advice is eat a healthy and balanced diet and incorporate light to medium lifting as well as Cardio exercising along with it !!
